It has been drawn to the attention of Sime Darby Medical Centre Subang Jaya (formerly known as Subang Jaya Medical Centre) that there are grossly mischievous e-mails and postings on certain websites connecting Sime Darby Medical Centre Subang Jaya to what is alleged to be a sexual assault by a medical personnel in one of its operating theatres.

Sime Darby Medical Centre Subang Jaya takes such defamatory publications seriously and has lodged formal reports with the Royal Malaysian Police and the Malaysian Communications & Multimedia Commission (“MCMC”).

Pursuant to a joint investigation by Sime Darby Medical Centre Subang Jaya and an independent party, the Malaysian Communications & Multimedia Commission (MCMC), Sime Darby Medical Centre Subang Jaya is satisfied that the incident portrayed in the emails and postings did not take place in Sime Darby Medical Centre Subang Jaya. Advice from an independent forensic analyst also confirms that the photos posted of the incident could not have taken place in Sime Darby Medical Centre Subang Jaya and has no connection, apparent or otherwise, with Sime Darby Medical Centre Subang Jaya.
