Entry requirements:
- SPM or its equivalent with minimum 3 credits in any subjects and a pass in Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mathematics and Science.

Duration:
- 2-year programme leading to State Registered Nurse (SRN) certification.
Entry requirements:
- Minimum a pass in SPM.
- Certificate in Assistant Nurse Programme.
- 3 years’ work experience as Assistant Nurse.

Programme Objectives
This course aims to enable students to:
- Demonstrate effectiveness in planning and providing therapeutic nursing care, for culturally diverse individuals, families, groups and communities.
- Make sound clinical judgements based on nursing science and related theory, using critical thinking and ethical decision-making.
- Demonstrate collaboration with peers, patient, healthcare professionals,and others within healthcare teams in the process of planning, delegating, implementing, and evaluating care.
- Identify clinical problems and apply research findings in order to promote evidenced-based and creative practice in nursing.
- Communicate with clarity, and sensitivity using a variety of methods including technology.
- Demonstrate customer-focused delivery of nursing care.
- Demonstrate accountability for professional growth and continuing education.
Course Profile
- Medium of instruction – English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Methods of conducting the course :
- Face-to-face interaction between student and lecturer.
- Continuous “feedback mechanism” that includes not less than 3 assessments for every subject each semester.
- Tutorial classes and skills laboratory.
- IT, self-directed learning and problem-based learning.
- Combination of theory and practical.
